Lavender Calendula Salve

4 ounces calendula infused olive oil

1/2 ounce beeswax (about 2 tablespoons grated, packed beeswax)

25-50 drops of lavender essential oil

Gently heat the beeswax in a double boiler or slow cooker. When the beeswax is melted, add in the calendula oil. Allow it to warm up for 30-60 seconds, then stir until the beeswax and oil are thoroughly mixed. If you’re adding essential oils, wait until the mixture cools just a little and then stir them in.

Pour your salve into a clean, dry container and allow to cool. Makes 6 ounces.

This wonderful healing and moisturizing salve can also be used for scrapes and bee stings.

Variation: Substitute tea tree essential oil for lavender
